Privacy is a human right. We are here to provide a solution for privacy-minded people, those who would rather pay a little money for a product feature than worry about how their data is being mined. We don't store any data off of your device at this time. When we do introduce features that store your data on our servers, you will know and be completely in charge.
Period.
We will soon collect diagnostics data that isn't personally identifiable, and we will be clear about it when we do. This will support us driving quality and focusing our precious resources on the areas that matter most.
As we introduce features that store data somewhere other than your device, we will tell you. Our business model will never rely on selling your data; you are a user, not a product. We will be clear about what data, how it is stored, how we protect it, what it is used for and how you can opt out. We are also committed to making sure what you have stays put, we are not trying to create demand with a free application and then change the game on you.
Our privacy policy must address specific topics to meet the standards placed upon us in order to distribute the application. We want to make sure we provide a summary that you don't need to be a lawyer to read. Additional sections of our privacy policy are designed to specifically address areas of concern required by our partners, service providers and/or the law. They will not purposely exception anything we have said in our layperson's summary. If you find something that does, please raise it to our attention immediately by emailing founders@campfango.com.
The current version of Campfango Camper stores all application data on your device. The application does not, at this time, send diagnostics or logging data to our servers or otherwise transmit data to Campfango for storage. This includes anonymous diagnostic and usage data, which we begin to collect in an upcoming release to support development and roadmap planning. We are not rushing into this because we want to strike a balance between improving our app features, navigation and stability with making sure your data is under your control.
Upcoming features will provide the opportunity for additional functionality by enabling the storage of data on our servers. When these features are introduced, we will call out what is stored and why. We will also address how it is protected. Barring unforeseen circumstances, we will not take away any functionality you have come to enjoy and force you to begin giving us your data.
Our website uses Google Analytics on public-facing pages. We currently do not offer web applications, and if that does change in the future we will not use 3rd party analytics in it without clear notice.
